Job summary

Muscat General Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer for upstream and midstream oil & gas facilities in Muscat. You will review and optimize electrical designs, install and test systems, and support artificial-lift and drilling operations.

The role requires strong knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, power distribution, asset integrity, and reliability engineering, with a solid grasp of HSE standards and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of upstream oil & gas electrical systems.
• Experience with surface facilities, production systems and midstream processes.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs and process simulation models.
• Experience in asset integrity, interfaces and reliability engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HSE practices, standards and compliance.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize electrical-system designs for upstream and midstream facilities, including wellheads, separators, multiphase pumps, gas treatment and compression.
• Install and test electrical systems; support artificial-lift systems, drilling, well construction, cementing, acidizing, start-up and shutdown.
• Review P&IDs/PFDs, electrical load lists, single-line diagrams and power studies.
• Support digital asset optimization, reliability, RCA and preventive/predictive maintenance, and ensure compliance with HSE and IEC/IEEE/NEC/ATEX/IECEx standards.
