Job summary

A leading engineering firm is looking for a Safety System Engineer (SIS) to join their team in the UAE or Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems. Responsibilities include designing and integrating safety systems, conducting acceptance tests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-impact projects in the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of experience in safety systems, instrumentation, or control systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning of safety systems.
• Familiarity with IEC 61511 / IEC 61508 standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD).
• Prepare Functional Design Specifications (FDS) for safety systems.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Support installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
