Job summary

Oman Investment Authority seeks an experienced QA/QC Leader to supervise NDT programs, approve procedures, and ensure ship repairs meet ASME, API, AWS, and IACS codes. You will manage welder qualifications, oversee audits, and lead a QA/QC team on complex hull, machinery, piping, and painting projects.

The role requires 8+ years in ship repair/shipbuilding QA/QC, with at least 2 years in supervision, and certifications including CSWIP 3.1, CWI, and NDT Level II.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
• CSWIP 3.1 and AWS CWI certifications.
• NDT Level II certification; Level III preferred.
• 8+ years in QA/QC in ship repair/shipbuilding.
• At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary technical authority for NDT operations and manage internal and external services.
• Develop, verify, and approve NDT procedures and practices to ensure compliance with codes.
• Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and PQRs per IACS, ASME IX.
• Oversee material procurement and ensure correct alignment of base materials, WPS, and welders.
• Maintain QA/QC procedures, support ISO audits and classification surveys.
