Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repair: Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and inspections to ensure gas engines and mechanical systems operate efficiently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure spare parts availability.
• Operations Support: Provide technical support to operations to meet power generation targets and minimize downtime.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and efficiency, identify areas for improvement.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure maintenance and operations comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Project Management: Lead and manage projects to upgrade and optimize mechanical systems; supervise technicians and junior engineers.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records and prepare daily/weekly/monthly technical reports.

Job Description

Mechanical Engineer role will cover routine GAS ENGINES (MTU / Wartsila) maintenance, emergency repairs, and long-term improvements of mechanical systems.

Maintenance and Repair

• Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and inspections to ensure the gas engines and associated mechanical systems are operating at peak efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of required spare parts.

Operations Support

• Provide technical support to the operations team, ensuring that the plant meets its power generation targets.
• Implement operational strategies to minimize downtime and maximize power output.

Performance Monitoring

• Monitor and analyze system performance and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement best practices in maintenance and operations to improve reliability and efficiency.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance and operational activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures.

Project Management

• Lead and manage projects related to the upgrade and optimization of mechanical systems within the plant.
• Supervise and guide teams of technicians and junior engineers in project execution.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance data, and inventory levels.
• Prepare daily reports, Weekly reports , Monthly reports & technical reports and analyzes for management review.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering having 10 Years of experience.
