Job summary

AltGen South Africa is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead delivery of a major utility-scale Solar PV and BESS project in Oman. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in renewable energy or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven capability to manage technical deliverables across EPC environments.
• Experience coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of EPC contracts, schedules and risk allocation.
• Experience with grid integration and HV/EHV systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical project delivery from detailed engineering through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering workstreams covering Solar PV, BESS, civil, electrical, structural, HV/EHV, SCADA, control and grid infrastructure.
• Oversee EPC Contractor's engineering deliverables against contractual requirements and project programme.
• Drive technical activities affecting the project's critical path and interfaces between EPCs, consultants and OEMs.
• Support technical procurement, equipment evaluation and vendor/OEM management.
• Participate in FAT, SAT and equipment acceptance activities and advise on changes.
• Ensure as-built docs, commissioning records, warranties and handover requirements are completed.
