Job summary

ACWA is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee operational activities across a desalination and power plant in Oman. You will monitor performance, provide technical support, and ensure safety and efficiency during your shift.

Responsibilities include supervising shift teams, reviewing SOPs, coordinating with other departments, and guiding maintenance and commissioning activities. Strong planning, leadership and SAP system skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering.
• 8 years’ experience in water desalination and power generation plants with 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of relevant plant equipment.
• SAP working knowledge is preferred.
• New IMS system awareness/working knowledge is preferred.
• Project Management.
• Mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
• Knowledge of the operations in water desalination and power generation plants and of
• Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills.
• Team work and effective collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations to meet production targets and safety requirements.
• Supervise shift staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Review and update SOPs and work instructions for efficiency.
• Monitor operations performance and manage abnormal conditions.
• Coordinate with other departments for timely plan execution.
• Provide technical guidance and optimization of unit operations.
• Collaborate with Maintenance for safe start-up and commissioning activities.
• Ensure HSSE compliance and incident reporting.
• Represent plant in technical meetings and escalate issues as needed.
• Administer SAP processes for planning, scheduling and data management.
