Job summary

ACWA NOMAC is seeking a Plant General Manager to lead all plant activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations and uninterrupted supply of power and water. You will report to the Vice President / Country Manager and oversee a sizable team across operations and maintenance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 12–15 years in production plant management, with strong techno-commercial aptitude, leadership, and a track record in power and water desalination projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 12-15 years of experience managing a production plant in power and water desalination.
• Techno-commercial know-how with contracts and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop the plant strategy aligned with ACWA NOMAC's O&M strategy and ensure cross-department alignment.
• Regularly report to VP/Country Manager on operations, challenges and mitigations.
• Prepare board presentations with financial figures, warranty issues and operational statistics.
• Develop and monitor the Plant Operating budget; track performance against budget.
• Lead production planning to optimize resource utilization and plant availability.
• Direct operations and maintenance teams to meet production objectives; resolve issues.
• Guide safety, health, environment and quality practices; ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Provide SAP/IMS guidance and oversee audits and certifications.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
