Job summary

ahlibank SAOG in Muscat, Oman, seeks a Senior Fund Manager - Private Markets & Real Assets to originate, underwrite, structure and monitor investments across private markets including real estate, infrastructure, private credit, PE and other alternatives.

You will lead underwriting, perform rigorous due diligence, prepare investment papers, and monitor assets and fund managers; mentor junior staff and ensure adherence to investment guidelines.

Qualifications

• Omani Nationals only.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Real Estate or related discipline; MBA/ MSc advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in asset management, private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate, investment banking, corporate finance or alternative investments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen and develop private-market opportunities with sponsors, asset managers and institutions.
• Maintain a disciplined opportunity pipeline aligned with strategy, returns, liquidity and risk.
• Lead or coordinate underwriting, including financial modelling, valuation and sensitivity analysis.
• Coordinate due diligence across legal, tax, technical, operational and ESG aspects.
• Support structuring of private-market funds, co-investments and investment vehicles; review terms and documentation.
• Prepare decision-ready investment papers covering opportunity, valuation and risks.
• Monitor portfolio investments, valuations, covenant compliance and governance matters.
• Escalate material valuation changes or governance concerns to senior management.
