Job summary

The MENA HR Solutions LLC (IBD Group) represents an established industrial manufacturer in Oman seeking a Chief Engineer to lead plant maintenance, engineering operations, and equipment reliability. The role requires deep experience in chemical manufacturing environments and strong leadership across mechanical and electrical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 15–20 years of industrial experience, including 5–8 years in senior maintenance leadership.
• Strong exposure to chemical, petrochemical, Chlor-Alkali, or continuous process plants.
• Experience in rotating/static equipment, plant utilities, maintenance planning, and shutdown management.
• Knowledge of SAP PM/CMMS, reliability engineering, and maintenance budgeting.
• Proven leadership, technical troubleshooting, and team management capabilities.
• Strong English communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical, electrical, utilities, and plant maintenance operations.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure reliability of rotating equipment, static equipment, and plant utility systems.
• Oversee plant shutdowns, equipment troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, contractors, and technical procurement.
• Implement maintenance planning and reporting through SAP PM or CMMS.
• Supervise engineering modifications, equipment upgrades, and maintenance projects.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and operational requirements.
