Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior ML Engineer - Email Security to design, train, and deploy email threat detectors in a remote-first setup. You will work on transformer models, production Go services, and scalable inference across hosting environments.

You will own end-to-end ML lifecycle from data preparation to releases, collaborate with partner engineers, and produce clear technical docs while balancing detection with false positives.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience delivering detection or classification systems with meaningful false-positive costs (anti-spam/phishing).
• End-to-end ML ownership including corpus construction, thresholding, error analysis, and release decisions.
• Hands-on transformer training with PyTorch, tokenizers, masked-language pretraining, fine-tuning, ONNX export, CPU inference.
• Strong Linux, shell scripting and Python skills on shared servers with GPU resources.
• English proficiency at B2 or higher for technical docs, specs, and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and release spam-detection models with training corpora and thresholds.
• Develop production Go components for the email-filtering engine including inference and parsing.
• Investigate spam/phishing incidents and fix detection issues via data or model updates.
• Balance detection rates with false positives to avoid blocking legitimate mail.
• Maintain corpus management tools and training infrastructure for experiments and releases.
• Review classifier, rule, and model changes to ensure quality and smooth releases.
• Write technical specs and handbooks to support collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Aim for milestone-based delivery including early rule-model releases and staged components.
