Job summary

AECOM is seeking an accomplished Senior Construction Project Manager to lead high-rise projects in the region. You will manage the full lifecycle from pre-construction budgeting to closeout, coordinating design-build activities and guiding a team of managers and trade partners.

The role requires extensive frontline leadership, strong financial acumen, and the ability to uphold PMC standards while delivering on time and within budget. On-site work and collaboration with design teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction-related field.
  • 20+ years progressive construction management experience, with at least 10 years managing high-rise or complex multi-story construction projects.
  • Full lifecycle project management experience including pre-construction, design coordination, procurement, construction execution, and closeout.
  • Experience with design-build integration and coordination between design intent and field execution.
  • Strong knowledge of PMC standards, practices, and protocols.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project controls tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience supervising multiple managers, supervisors, and trade partners.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L management responsibility on projects of significant scale.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall management and administration of high-rise construction projects, establishing project-specific objectives, policies, and protocols aligned with PMC standards and best practices.
  • Provides strategic management and guidance to subordinate managers and supervisors, enforces company and project policies, and serves as the primary liaison between AECOM, clients, and design teams on complex multi-story developments.
  • Oversees all facets of high-rise project construction to ensure compliance with design specifications, budget parameters, and schedule requirements through subordinate managers, supervisors, and trade partners; leverages design background to coordinate design-build integration and resolve design-related construction challenges.
  • Administers projects throughout the complete lifecycle - from pre-construction budgeting and scheduling through design coordination, procurement, shop drawing development, RFI management, construction execution, space turnover, and contract closeout. Manages design coordination meetings and ensures seamless integration between design intent and field execution.
  • Maintains significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction projects while managing the complexities inherent to high-rise construction, including vertical logistics, safety protocols, and multi-phase coordination typical of PMC-managed developments.
  • Coordinates with design teams and consultants to address constructability issues, value engineering opportunities, and design modifications while maintaining project schedule and budget integrity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 20 years of progressive construction management experience, with at least 10 years managing high-rise or complex multi-story construction projects
  • Proven experience with full project lifecycle management, including pre-construction, design coordination, procurement, construction execution, and closeout
  • Demonstrated expertise in design-build integration and coordination between design intent and field execution
  • Strong knowledge of PMC (Project Management Company) standards, practices, and protocols
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project controls tools
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience supervising multiple managers, supervisors, and trade partners
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L management responsibility on projects of significant scale
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Construction Management)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification
  • LEED accreditation or sustainability certification
  • Experience with vertical logistics planning and complex multi-story coordination
  • Background in design disciplines (architecture or engineering) with construction application
  • Experience managing projects with AECOM or similar large design/engineering firms
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery methods
  • Track record of successful value engineering and constructability problem-solving
