Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with 2+ years post-qualification experience.
• Or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Professional certification relevant to the job is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to setting the department's objectives and work plans in alignment with the unit's strategic and operational plan, and follow up on their implementation.
• Prepare the department’s work policies and procedures manual, and ensure updates as needed.
• Follow up on investment opportunities and monitor investments and reports according to the strategy and policies.
• Track portfolio performance and review reasons for changes in performance.
• Monitor investments within asset limits and compliance with investment regulations.
• Review financial and investment analyses to identify economic indicators.
• Review investment reports for the Investment Unit, Investment Committee, and Board.
• Monitor performance and ensure compliance with policy and contracts; review asset reports.
• Maintain records and assist in executing the department's plans; submit recommendations to supervisor.
• Review workflow and performance reports and handle delegated tasks.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

Contribute to setting the department's objectives and work plans in alignment with the strategic and operational plan of the unit, and follow up on their implementation. Participate in preparing the department’s work policies and procedures manual, and ensure it is updated as needed. Follow up on the implementation of investment opportunities in accordance with the unit’s strategic goals and policies. Monitor investment operations and reports according to the investment strategy and portfolio construction. Track the performance of the investment portfolio and related reports, and review the reasons for increases or decreases in the portfolio’s performance. Monitor the unit’s investments and ensure they are within the assets and limits specified in the investment regulations. Review financial and investment analyses to identify economic indicators. Review investment reports required by the Investment Unit, the Investment Committee, and the Fund’s Board of Directors. Periodically monitor investment performance to identify strengths to enhance and weaknesses to address, using appropriate standards and indicators. Follow up on the performance of portfolio managers and ensure compliance with the approved investment policy and the terms of the signed investment contracts, as well as adherence to the strategic asset allocation. Review periodic reports on the performance of different investment assets. Monitor the implementation of approved investment decisions. Ensure proper organization and maintenance of records. Participate in executing the department's plans and goals. Submit appropriate suggestions and recommendations to the direct supervisor. Review reports related to the department’s workflow and performance levels. Review any reports requested from the department. Perform any other tasks assigned.

Requirements

• Academic Qualifications and Work Experience: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field, with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• A professional certification relevant to the job is considered an added advantage.
