The Finance Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Lead and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and accounting activities across the Group.
- Monitor financial performance, cash flow, working capital and resource utilization to support business objectives and financial sustainability.
- Prepare, review and present financial reports, analyses, forecasts and recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting frameworks.
Treasury, Banking and Investment Management
- Manage treasury operations, cash flow, banking relationships, financing arrangements and investment activities across the Group.
- Evaluate financial risks, funding requirements and capital-allocation strategies to support sustainable growth.
- Maintain effective relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors and other financial stakeholders.
- Support the evaluation and execution of financing, investment and corporate financial initiatives.
- Provide strategic financial advice, commercial insights and performance analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Evaluate business opportunities, investments, acquisitions and strategic initiatives from a financial perspective.
- Collaborate with business leaders to align financial strategies with operational and commercial objectives.
- Support business growth, profitability and long-term financial sustainability through proactive financial planning and analysis.
Governance, Taxation and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax legislation, financial regulations and statutory requirements in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Prepare, review and submit VAT returns, tax filings and other statutory financial reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial and tax records and ensure compliance with the Oman Tax Authority and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Establish and maintain effective financial governance, internal controls, risk-management and compliance frameworks across the Group.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and support the implementation of audit recommendations and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Any other responsibilities assigned by management as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial management or a related role, including experience at a supervisory or managerial level.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and cash-flow management.
- Practical knowledge of treasury, banking, investment evaluation and financial-risk management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, VAT and taxation requirements in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Experience coordinating internal and external audits and dealing with banks, auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency in financial-management systems, ERP applications and Microsoft Excel.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Experience in a consultancy, group-company or multi-entity environment is preferred.
