Job summary

NTG is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to be based on-site in Muscat. This role involves building and running our sovereign cloud infrastructure, ensuring the performance and reliability of the platform's foundational elements like compute, storage, and network.

The ideal candidate has substantial experience in production infrastructure, with strengths in compute, virtualization, and GPU management. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required, alongside fluency in English.

Job description

Build and run the private cloud and data center beneath the platform: the bare metal, GPU, storage, and network that everything else stands on.

RQMNA builds and runs the sovereign infrastructure that government and enterprise platforms depend on, on national soil.

We are hiring a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer, on site in Muscat, to build and operate the sovereign cloud the entire platform runs on.

What you’ll do

Own the sovereign substrate, the compute, storage, network, and GPU that the platform sits on.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate the sovereign, on‑premises cloud and data center the platform runs on
• Provision and manage bare metal and virtualization: enterprise servers, hosts, and the compute fleet
• Operate the GPU infrastructure for AI workloads, including racks, cooling, and the accelerator fleet
• Manage enterprise storage and backup across block, file, and object, with immutable, long‑retention archives
• Engineer the network fabric and carrier links, with segmentation and security built in
• Plan capacity and hardware lifecycle across compute, storage, GPU, and network
• Automate provisioning with infrastructure as code, and present clean, ready infrastructure to the platform team
• Partner with the platform team at the layer beneath Kubernetes, and with security on a hardened sovereign baseline

• You have built and run production infrastructure in a data center or private cloud, not only public cloud
• You are strong across compute, virtualization, storage, and network, and how they fit together
• You have provisioned bare metal and automated it with infrastructure as code
• You think about capacity, resilience, and hardware lifecycle, and you plan ahead of demand
• Real depth in GPU infrastructure, high performance compute, or liquid‑cooled racks is highly valued
• You hold a Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on depth
• You stay calm during hardware and data center incidents, and you document the fix
• Bonus points for sovereign, air‑gapped, regulated, or government data center experience
• Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage
