Job summary
OQ is seeking a Sr Engineer I&C Central Assets Management to design, analyze, implement and maintain control systems for the RPI area, ensuring ESD/DCS/PLC availability and process safety. You will lead troubleshooting, support new automation projects, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and third-party contractors.
The role requires 8+ years in control systems, a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, and hands-on experience with DCS/PLCs in refinery
Qualifications
- 8+ years in control systems maintenance or related roles.
- Experience with refinery/petrochemical industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DCS, PLCs and ESD systems.
- Knowledge of OT cybersecurity practices is required.
- Ability to guide junior engineers and interact with multiple functions.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, implement and maintain control systems across RPI assets.
- Ensure availability of ESD, DCS, and PLC control loops; promote process safety.
- Develop solutions for maintenance and quality of control systems in SR2 Suhar plants.
- Support new automation projects and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Safety and contractors.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the team; identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure asset availability, minimize downtime and support profitability; build talent pipeline.
