Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment seeks a Senior General Ledger Accountant in Muscat to support the Accounting Manager with IFRS-compliant financial reporting and robust control environments. The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, timely closings, and adherence to local statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 6 years of experience (3 in a similar role), a Bachelor's in finance/economics/accounting, and a professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or equivalent.
• ACCA or CPA qualification preferable or ongoing progress toward certification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Accounting Manager in accounting operations and statutory financial reporting.
• Provide outputs to the Business Plan/Budget and generate ad-hoc reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely closing and reporting.
• Ensure accurate monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and sub-ledger integrity.
• Lead audit activities (internal and external) and ensure compliance with policies.
• Produce consolidated financial reports and notes for management and authorities.
