Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior/Principal Designer with extensive oil & gas facilities design experience. You will manage a pool of designers, plan tasks to meet schedules and ensure high-quality drawings in E3D and AutoCAD environments.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, 3D CAD proficiency, and the ability to work across interfaces with other disciplines while training local Omanis to grow the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND / ITI / Diploma in Engineering.
• Extensive experience in oil & gas facilities design (front end and detailed) preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a pool of designers/draftspersons and plan tasks to meet schedules.
• Proficient in checking drawings for quality against standards.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply design quality system requirements and work per codes and procedures.
• Participate in site visits to gather data.
• Produce presentable and accurate drawings, including consistency checks.
• Check design interfaces between disciplines at all stages.
• Produce drafting 2D drawings from E3D and perform lighting calculations in Dialux.
• Prepare MTO and ensure drawings comply with engineer requirements.
• Train and develop Omani personnel for drafting and design roles.
• Liaise with vendors, departments and project teams to align interfaces.
