Job summary

Category, a growing investment banking platform, is seeking an Executive Director / Head of Coverage in Muscat, Oman to lead senior client relationships and drive revenue across M&A, financing and capital markets in Oman and the GCC.

You will originate and execute mandates with Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, Family Offices, Government-Related Entities and Financial Institutions, shaping the growth of the platform and serving as a trusted advisor to influential institutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in investment banking or coverage roles.
• Proven track record in originating and executing M&A, financing and advisory mandates.
• Strong network within Oman and GCC across SWFs, pension funds, family offices and financial institutions.
• Excellent C-suite stakeholder relationship skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with regional market acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage senior-level relationships with key decision-makers.
• Originate and execute investment banking mandates across M&A and financing.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across advisory and financing capabilities.
• Lead client coverage efforts with regular engagement of stakeholders.
• Generate and convert a robust pipeline of advisory opportunities.
• Collaborate with product teams to tailor solutions for clients.
• Act as a market ambassador for the firm in Oman and GCC region.
• Support growth and development of the investment banking franchise.
