Job summary

Experience in Oman is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the commercial projects assurance framework within our organisation. You will oversee independent reviews, evaluate economic models and investment cases, and provide executive recommendations on project readiness for progression through approval stages.

The role requires strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across Finance, Legal, and Business Development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geoscience; postgraduate qualification preferred.
10+ years in upstream oil & gas with focus on commercial management, project assurance, or business development.
Experience conducting assurance reviews, gate assessments, and risk evaluations.
Ability to critically assess business cases, economic models, and commercial frameworks.
Familiarity with EPSAs, JOAs, and commercial agreements in upstream contexts.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of the commercial projects assurance framework.
Perform independent, expert-level assurance reviews at key decision gates.
Provide recommendations to leadership on project readiness for approval.
Scrutinise proposals, business cases, and investment submissions for accuracy and alignment.
Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks across the portfolio.
