Job summary

Category is seeking a CT Field Specialist to lead and execute complex coiled tubing and well intervention operations on site in Nimr, Oman. You will act as the technical authority, oversee equipment readiness, and coordinate with on-site teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires extensive CT experience, deep well control knowledge, and strong leadership to mentor junior staff while maintaining strict HSE compliance and client standards.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of field experience in CT operations.
• 5–8+ years specifically in CT fieldwork and well intervention.
• Strong knowledge of BOP stacks, lubricators, and wellhead systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise complex coiled tubing operations at the wellsite.
• Execute advanced interventions (deep cleanouts, high-pressure milling, fishing).
• Oversee rig-up, pressure testing, operation, and rig-down of CTU and pressure control equipment.
• Act as the primary technical authority on location during operations.
• Monitor real-time data and make critical field decisions.
• Troubleshoot surface and downhole equipment issues during live operations.
• Ensure adherence to well control standards and HSE procedures.
• Mentor Field Specialists I/II and Field Operators.
