Job summary

Oman Investment Authority seeks a Senior Engineer Automation to lead maintenance and reliability across copper concentrator plant automation and control systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and supporting infrastructure.

You will drive maintenance strategies, support change governance, and push process optimization initiatives with Operations and Projects teams to maximize availability and minimize lifecycle costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automation or related discipline is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of automation maintenance and reliability experience in a copper/concentrator plant.
• Proven track record in maintaining automation assets in large mineral processes.
• Certifications in automation or reliability are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities for automation, PLC, DCS, and SCADA across the plant.
• Develop maintenance strategies to maximize reliability and availability.
• Coordinate change governance and document updates after modifications.
• Support optimization projects and advanced process control initiatives.
