Job summary

Deloitte in Muscat seeks an Audit & Assurance Manager to lead and execute complex audit engagements for multinational clients. You will oversee risk assessment, control testing, and coordination with component teams to deliver high-quality audits in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.

The role requires extensive public accounting experience, strong knowledge of auditing standards, and the ability to mentor junior staff while engaging with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in public accounting or audit management.
• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and best practice reporting.
• CA/ACCA/CPA international qualification required.
• Fluent in English; bilingual Arabic/English preferred.
• Ability to develop knowledge and audit methodology through training.

Responsibilities

• Builds trust by meeting stakeholder needs while challenging engagement issues.
• Reviews transaction flows and tests controls early in the audit cycle.
• Suggests mitigating testing when controls are ineffective.
• Collaborates with specialists to add value across the audit engagement.
• Communicates project plans and deadlines to the engagement team.
• Ensures compliance with auditing standards and independence requirements.
