Job summary

Darkstone Arabia Ltd. is seeking an experienced HSE professional to lead safety initiatives on construction and industrial projects in Oman.

You will monitor site activities, assess risks, and promote safe work practices to ensure compliance with client, company, and regulatory standards. You will conduct inspections, lead toolbox talks, investigate incidents, and coordinate corrective actions while supporting continuous HSE improvement and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, mining, or industrial projects.
• Professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
• Strong English communication, reporting, leadership, and incident-investigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with HSE procedures, legal requirements, and client standards.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety audits, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Advise project management and site teams on hazards, control measures, and safe work practices.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare reports with corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor and verify compliance of subcontractors, workers, equipment, and work activities with HSE requirements.
• Prepare and maintain HSE reports, statistics, inspections, observations, and action-tracking records, and support continuous improvement.
