Job summary

Abraj Energy Services in Muscat, Oman, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support rig mechanical maintenance and camp facilities. The role involves assisting the Chief Mechanic with preventive maintenance, and covering for the Mechanic when needed on rig sites.

The candidate will monitor equipment performance, follow duties from Tool Pushers, and participate as a Fire Team member as required. On-site, full-time work with 0–2 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0 - 2 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chief Mechanic / Mechanic to run rig mechanical preventive maintenance on a regular basis.
• Assist Chief Mechanic/Mechanic with Rig and Camp mechanical maintenance requirements.
• Carry out duties assigned by Chief Mechanic / Mechanic.
• Monitor appropriate functioning of rig and camp mechanical equipment while working on rig.
• Carry out duties assigned by Tool Pusher/Night Tool Pusher.
• Stand in for Mechanic during his absence.
• Execute duties as Rig / Camp Fire Team member as instructed by Tool Pusher or Chief Mechanic.
