Job summary

Wood is seeking a senior RBI Subject Matter Expert to support an operating refinery and petrochemical complex in Oman for a one-year assignment. You will lead the transition from API 580 to API 581, validate RBI models, and provide technical leadership for the site RBI program.

You will interface with operations and engineering teams to integrate RBI outputs into inspection strategies, corrosion management, and maintenance planning, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance throughout project

Qualifications

• Minimum a BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in petrochemical/oil & gas industries with RBI experience.
• Experience leading RBI transition projects and corrosion studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead RBI transition from API 580 to API 581 for refinery and petrochemical units.
• Govern RBI studies, ensure regulatory defensibility and risk-based inspection maturity.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to align RBI with maintenance planning.
