Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead full-time supervision of PV plant construction, overseeing module, tracker and inverter installation and the DC/AC collection systems.

You will witness start-up tests and performance verification, and bring IPP/PPA experience to Owner’s Engineer or lender’s adviser roles on large projects in the GCC, including Oman.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with at least 10 years' experience in utility-scale solar PV design, construction supervision and commissioning.
• Familiarity with PV module technology, inverter/tracker systems and PV plant performance testing.
• Experience as Owner’s Engineer or lender's tech adviser on at least three utility-scale renewable projects.

Responsibilities

• Full-time supervision of PV plant construction, including module, tracker, inverter installation and DC/AC collection systems.
• Witness PV plant start-up tests, reliability runs, and performance tests with PR verification.
• Experience as Owner’s Engineer or lender's technical adviser on at least three utility-scale renewable projects (>=100 MW, COD in last 10 years).
• IPPs under PPAs with national/regional off-takers; familiarity with PPA testing, commissioning, performance guarantees.
• Design review or construction supervision on grid substations and interconnection works (132 kV+), interfacing with the grid operator.
• Regional experience in Oman or GCC preferred, including Oman Local regulations and Grid Code familiarity.

Core Responsibilities:

• Full-time supervision of PV plant construction (module/tracker/inverter installation, DC/AC collection systems);
• Witness PV Plant Start-up Tests, Reliability Run, and Performance Test (Actual Performance Ratio verification against Guaranteed Monthly PR).
• Owner’s Engineer or equivalent Lender’s Technical Adviser experience on at least three (3) utility-scale renewable energy projects (Wind and/or Solar PV, each of at least 100 MW capacity) that have reached Commercial Operation Date within the last ten (10) years;
• Experience working on Independent Power Projects (IPPs) structured under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a national or regional Off-taker, including familiarity with PPA testing, commissioning and performance guarantee regimes;
• Design review or construction supervision experience on grid substation and transmission interconnection works (132 kV or above), including interfacing with a national/regional transmission system operator.
• Demonstrated regional experience in the Sultanate of Oman and/or the wider GCC is preferred, including familiarity with the Oman Local regulation and Grid Code requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; minimum 10 years’ experience in utility-scale Solar PV plant design, construction supervision and commissioning;
• Familiarity with PV module technology, inverter/tracker systems and PV plant performance testing
