Job summary

Client Construction is seeking a Project Manager – Construction in Muscat, Oman. You will lead project delivery, coordinate site operations, and manage subcontractors across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

The role requires a Civil/Mechanical engineering degree with 10–15 years in construction and 1–2 years in a PM role, preferably with Oman exposure. Competitive salary and benefits align with Oman Labor Law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in the construction industry.
• 1–2 years of experience in a Project Manager role preferred.
• Previous construction experience in Oman preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical progress in line with the approved baseline programme; plan and sequence construction activities and mobilise resources; identify critical path risks and mitigate.
• Control actual project costs within the approved budget; report cost-to-complete updates; notify variations on site within contractual limits.
• Direct site operations, workforce deployment, subcontractor coordination, and ensure timely material requisitions.
• Ensure quality, safety, and client relationships; escalate site issues and maintain client satisfaction throughout delivery.

We're recruiting a Project Manager – Construction for one of our clients, a leading construction company based in Muscat, Oman. About Our Client: Our client is a leading construction organization that specializes in innovative infrastructure and project management solutions. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality engineering services with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and excellence across residential, commercial, and industrial projects in Oman.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Delivery & Programme Management: Deliver physical progress in line with the approved baseline programme; Plan and sequence construction activities and mobilise resources in advance; Identify critical path risks early and propose mitigation measures to the Division Head; Ensure timely project completion, handover documentation, and as‑built records.
• Project Cost & Margin Management: Control actual project costs within the approved budget baseline; Manage direct staff costs within the approved project staffing budget; Provide accurate cost‑to‑complete updates to the Project Controls team, including early reporting of potential cost overruns; Identify variations and changes on site and notify Project Controls within the contractual time limits.
• Site Management & Subcontractor Performance: Direct site operations, workforce deployment, and daily work sequencing; Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their programme, quality, and safety performance; Ensure material requisitions are raised on time to meet project requirements; Maintain site security, housekeeping, and workforce welfare arrangements.
• Quality, Safety & Client Relationship Management: Ensure all construction works meet the required quality standards and rectify non‑conformances promptly; Implement safety controls established by the EHS team and support the independence of site assurance personnel; Maintain positive relationships with clients and consultants and act as the first point of escalation for site-related matters; Ensure client satisfaction throughout project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the construction industry
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Project Manager role preferred
• Previous construction experience in Oman preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction project delivery, site management, and subcontractor coordination
