Job summary

Salam Air in Muscat is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to provide comprehensive technical leadership for the engine and APU fleet, including LEAP-1A and CFM56 engines. The role focuses on airworthiness, reliability, cost-effective maintenance and regulatory compliance across lifecycle activities.

You will oversee shop visits, reliability programs, lease management, and technical governance, coordinating with OEMs, service providers and internal teams to ensure operational readiness

Qualifications

• Graduate in Mechanical Aeronautical Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the aviation industry including at least 5 years in a managerial role.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost-effective engineering and technical leadership for the operation and maintenance of Salam Air's engine and APU fleet.
• Support reliability improvement programs and regulatory compliance for powerplant assets.
• Review shop visit findings and ensure documentation compliance with maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with OEMs, MRO providers and internal teams to ensure timely maintenance inputs and asset readiness.
• Monitor engine and APU health, including data analysis and trend monitoring to optimize maintenance decisions.
