STRABAG SE (old) seeks a Post-Contract QS Engineer to manage QS aspects of awarded road construction projects in Oman. You will handle measurements, IPAs, variations and final accounts from contract award to close-out, collaborating with site teams and client consultants on highways and associated works.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, 3-7 years post-contract QS experience, and strong knowledge of FIDIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 3-7 years post-contract QS experience, at least 2 on road or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and standard methods of measurement.
• Proven experience with IPAs, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Membership of the Oman Society of Engineers (OSE).
• Valid driving licence.
• Advanced Excel and AutoCAD.
• Accurate measurement and strong attention to detail.
• Good negotiation skills with consultants and subcontractors.
• Organised record keeping and able to meet monthly deadlines.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Review the awarded contract, BOQ and specifications, and monitor compliance with contract conditions (FIDIC or similar).
• Prepare monthly interim payment applications (IPAs) and follow up on certification and payment.
• Carry out joint site measurements with the consultant for earthworks, sub-base, asphalt, kerbs, drainage and culverts.
• Identify, price and submit variations and change orders.
• Prepare extension of time and claims submissions with supporting records.
• Keep records of site instructions, day works, delays and site events.
• Issue and respond to contractual letters and notices.
• Prepare subcontract agreements and evaluate subcontractor quotations.
• Measure and certify subcontractor payments and close their final accounts.
• Prepare, reconcile and negotiate the final account with the client, including retention and outstanding payments.

You’ll work closely with site teams and the client’s consultant on highways, earthworks, asphalt paving, drainage and structures.
