Job summary

Tanqeeb in Oman seeks a Planning Engineer to develop, implement, and manage maintenance planning, scheduling, work management, and shutdown planning to ensure safe, reliable plant operations. This role supports leadership in planning and coordinating resources, and establishes CMMS processes and work management standards for commissioning, start-up, and ongoing operations.

You will own the maintenance planning lifecycle, maintain backlogs, develop detailed work packs with labor and materials,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of maintenance planning or shutdown planning in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial operations.
• Experience with large-scale shutdown planning and resource management.
• Certifications such as CMRP, PMP, Six Sigma are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
• Review work requests and convert approved work into executable job plans.
• Lead planning and preparation for plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance campaigns.
• Monitor KPIs: Schedule Compliance, PM Compliance, Backlog Management, Work Order Closure Rates.
• Manage maintenance work management processes within ERP/CMMS.
