Job summary

Truetech Solutions is seeking an experienced OpenShift Developer / Microservices Developer to design, containerize, deploy and support cloud-native apps on Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes.

The role focuses on building scalable microservices, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines, while deploying across OpenShift environments. You will collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure reliable production deployments in Oman.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of overall software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microservices development.
• 2+ years of hands-on OpenShift/Kubernetes experience.
• Strong production deployments and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Containerize applications using Docker/Podman.
• Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Create and maintain OpenShift deployment configurations, YAML manifests, templates, and Helm charts.
• Configure scalability, health checks, readiness/liveness probes, and resource limits.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitor logs, metrics, and performance within OpenShift.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced OpenShift Developer / Microservices Developer with strong hands-on experience in developing, containerizing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications on Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes.

The candidate will be responsible for building scalable and resilient microservices, developing REST APIs, working with containers, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and deploying applications across OpenShift environments. OpenShift provides Kubernetes-based capabilities for building, deploying, scaling, securing, and managing cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Containerize applications using Docker/Podman.
• Deploy and manage applications on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Work with Kubernetes concepts including:
  • Pods
  • Deployments
  • Services
  • ConfigMaps
  • Secrets
  • Namespaces
  • Ingress/Routes
  • Persistent Volumes
• Create and maintain OpenShift deployment configurations,YAML manifests, templates, and Helm charts.
• Configure application scaling, health checks, readiness/liveness probes, and resource limits.
• Troubleshoot application, container, networking, deployment, and runtime issues.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Integrate applications with Git-based source control and DevOps tools.
• Monitor application logs, metrics, and performance within OpenShift.
• Work with development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and architecture teams.
• Participate in application modernization initiatives, including migration from monolithic applications to microservices.
• Implement security best practices for containerized applications and OpenShift deployments.
• Support production deployments, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.

Mandatory Technical Skills

OpenShift / Kubernetes

• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift / OCP.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration.
• Experience with oc and/or kubectl CLI.
• Hands-on experience with deployments, services, routes, config maps, secrets, namespaces, pods, replicas, and persistent storage.
• Experience troubleshooting applications running on OpenShift.

Microservices

• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Experience developing independently deployable microservices.
• REST API development and integration.
• Understanding of API Gateway, service discovery, load balancing, fault tolerance, and distributed systems.
• Experience with asynchronous/event-driven architecture is an advantage.

Programming

Candidates should have strong development experience in one or more

• Java / Spring Boot

• Python
• .NET

For Java-based roles, strong Java + Spring Boot + Microservices + OpenShift experience should be treated as a core combination. Red Hat also specifically positions Quarkus for cloud-native microservices development and OpenShift deployment.
