Job summary

Socium - Teams Done Differently seeks an IT Engineer – Patch Management to support a multinational consulting firm in Oman. The role is onsite with an ASAP start and a 12-month project duration, requiring hands-on patch management across enterprise environments.

You will test, schedule, and deploy patches, monitor compliance, coordinate with security teams, and maintain deployment records while minimizing disruption. Relocation visa sponsorship is provided for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant IT experience in patch management.
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM / Intune, WSUS, and Ivanti.
• Strong patch testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and compliance reporting.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite in Oman under a project-based / independent contractor arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Manage patch deployment across servers, endpoints, and enterprise IT environments.
• Assess, test, and schedule patches in coordination with infrastructure and security teams.
• Monitor patch compliance, troubleshoot failed deployments, and address outstanding vulnerabilities.
• Maintain patching records, deployment reports, and exception tracking.
• Support maintenance windows and post-deployment validation to minimise operational disruption.
