Job summary

WorleyParsons in Oman seeks an experienced piping designer for oil and gas projects. The role focuses on developing pipeline drawings, alignment sheets, route maps, hydrostatic diagrams, isometrics and MTO, along with pipe support layouts.

You will prepare and check piping drawings for onshore and offshore projects, ensuring alignment with international standards. Candidates should have 6 years of major oil and gas project experience and a mechanical engineering degree (bachelor or diploma) or

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in major oil and gas projects in a similar piping design role.
• Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of international standards / OQ specifications.
• Ability to prepare and check piping drawings for onshore/offshore projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop pipeline drawings such as alignment sheets, station approach, route maps, hydrostatic diagram, isometrics & MTO, pipe support details & layouts.
• Prepare and check piping drawings for oil and gas projects (onshore/offshore).
• Ensure compliance with international standards / OQ specifications.
• Interface with other disciplines and operations; draft safe, maintainable piping systems.

Job description:

• Experienced in piping design in oil and gas for onshore and offshore pipeline projects
• Independently handle development of pipeline drawings such as alignment sheets, station approach, route maps, hydrostatic diagram, isometrics & MTO, pipe support details & layouts etc.
• Perform preparation and checking of all kinds of piping drawings for oil and gas projects (onshore/offshore)
• Compliance to international standards / OQ specifications
• Interfacing with other disciplines / operations
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Design and draft clean, effective piping systems that adhere to safety and maintenance specifications

6 years experience in major oil and gas projects in similar position, bachelor or diploma degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
