Job summary

Wood is seeking an Omani Senior Pipeline Designer to join our team in Oman, delivering FEED and detail design scope for oil and gas projects. The role focuses on developing pipeline design drawings and related documents, working closely with pipeline engineers and multi-discipline teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years in oil & gas piping design, including FEED experience, and is fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Oil & Gas piping design, with 3 years in ACAD/3D PDMS.
• Minimum 5 years in Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop pipeline design drawings and documents for projects.
• Collaborate with pipeline engineers/designers and other discipline engineers to deliver engineering/construction deliverables.
• Ensure quality and compliance with standards; update drawings and templates as needed.
• Support project schedule and cost objectives; participate in design reviews.

Typical Responsibilities

• Works closely with Pipeline Engineers /designers and other discipline engineers in the delivery of project engineering/construction deliverables, quality control drawings and overall project support.
• Implement hand marked-up changes to drawings.
• Maintain standard drawing templates.
• Follow/ensure Quality Management System Requirements are met in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition.requirements
• Provides quality assurance reviews and detailed checking support.
• Maintain and monitor drawing development progress.
• Meet project commitments and deliver to schedule.
• Identify & implement process improvement to reduce cycle time & cost.
• Time write correctly each week.
