Job summary

CCDS is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer for a one-year project-based contract in Sohar, Oman. The role is full-time and on-site, with responsibilities spanning configuration, management, and troubleshooting of enterprise security solutions.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on Palo Alto and Fortinet expertise, strong routing/VPN knowledge, and excellent communication and documentation skills to deliver secure network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven professional experience in network security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Fortinet security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, network protocols, and firewall management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions.
• Monitor security events and potential threats.
• Implement firewall policies, VPNs, routing, switching, and access-control rules.
• Investigate incidents and provide timely resolutions.
• Maintain documentation and operational reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and customers to meet service requirements.
