Job summary

CCDS in Sohar, Oman seeks an experienced Network Security Engineer for a one-year project-based contract. The role is full-time, on-site, and focuses on securing enterprise networks using Palo Alto and Fortinet technologies.

You will configure, monitor, and optimize security controls, document configurations, and coordinate with vendors and customers to meet service requirements while delivering timely incident resolutions. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven professional experience in network security engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security solutions.
• Solid experience with Fortinet technologies.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, network protocols, and firewall management.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work full-time and on-site in Sohar, Oman.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network security solutions.
• Administer Palo Alto and Fortinet security products.
• Monitor network performance, security events, and threats.
• Implement firewall policies, VPNs, routing, switching, and access-control rules.
• Investigate incidents and provide timely resolutions.
• Perform system upgrades and security hardening.
• Maintain documentation and operational reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and customers to meet service requirements.
