Job summary

ITProposal in Oman is seeking an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer for Break & Fix support on a freelance, on-call basis. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, virtualization, and network incidents across enterprise environments, with onsite and remote support.

The ideal candidate has CCNA, strong Nutanix experience (AOS/AHV/Prism), VMware/Hyper-V familiarity, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Experience supporting VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• CCNA certification must be held.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure-related incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and related technologies.
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents and service requests within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud-related projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports, and service records.
• Ensure professional interaction with end users, stakeholders, and customers at all times.
