Job summary

MLS - Muscat Livestock in Muscat, Oman, is seeking a hands-on Technical & Quality role to support the food-safety and quality systems at a meat-processing facility. You will work closely with Production and Engineering/Maintenance to ensure products are safe, compliant and manufactured to approved specifications.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in meat processing, a relevant degree, and proven experience with HACCP, QA investigations, CAPA and shelf-life studies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and quality control.
• Experience with meat-processing manufacturing.
• Familiarity with packaging formats and cold-chain requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and control product specifications, TDS, recipes, formulations and manufacturing instructions for all SKUs.
• Establish and monitor quality standards, QC checks, sampling plans and product-release criteria.
• Support HACCP/ CCP/OPRP, food-safety, hygiene, sanitation and traceability controls.
• Investigate quality issues, customer complaints and CAPA.
• Support new product development, factory trials and shelf-life studies.
• Develop and control packaging specifications including MAP, vacuum and thermoformed products.
• Ensure compliance with Oman/GCC regulations and labeling standards.
• Maintain raw-material and packaging specifications and supplier quality evaluation.
• Maintain technical documentation (SOPs, HACCP plans, QC standards, traceability, calibration).
• Work with Production and Engineering to improve process control and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support audits and implementation of HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS or equivalents.
