Job summary

Gender is seeking a Quality Manager to lead QA, QC and regulatory compliance for its dairy manufacturing operations in Oman. You will implement HACCP-based FSMS, oversee CCP monitoring, and manage the QC laboratory while driving a quality-first culture.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 7+ years in food/dairy QA, and proficiency in English (Arabic a plus). You will interact with production, supply chain, and commercial teams and report to the AGM/ Acting CEO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Microbiology or related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage for progression.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and QC teams across plant and MCC operations.
• Design and maintain FSMS per Omani and international standards (ISO 22000 / HACCP).
• Oversee HACCP plans, CCP monitoring, and corrective actions.
• Manage QC laboratory: calibration schedules, test accuracy, and finished product release.
• Coordinate internal audits, management reviews, and third‑party audits.
• Lead RCA and CAPA for non-conformances, complaints, and recalls.
• Set raw milk quality specs and liaise with CSCO on supplier quality.
• Ensure cold chain compliance and validated pasteurization, chilling, storage parameters.
• Deliver quality training for production and MCC staff.
• Prepare KPI reports for the Acting General Manager.

Job Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance functions across AMDC's dairy manufacturing operations. The role ensures that products consistently meet Omani and international food safety standards, that HACCP-based management systems are implemented and maintained, and that the company's quality culture is embedded at every level of the operation. The Quality Manager reports directly to the AGM/ Acting CEO and works closely with the supply chain, production, and commercial teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams across plant and Milk Collection Centre (MCC) operations.
• Design, implement, and maintain the company's Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in compliance with Omani Food Safety Law and international standards (ISO 22000 / HACCP).
• Oversee all HACCP plans, Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring, and corrective action processes.
• Manage the QC laboratory: calibration schedules, test accuracy, raw milk acceptance criteria, and finished product release.
• Conduct and coordinate internal audits, management reviews, and third-party certification audits.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) for non-conformances, customer complaints, and product recalls.
• Establish and enforce raw milk quality specifications at Hajeef, Ghado, and Zeek MCCs; liaise with the CSCO on supplier quality performance.
• Manage cold chain compliance; ensure pasteurization, chilling, and storage parameters are within validated limits.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for production and MCC staff.
• Prepare quality KPI reports and present findings to the Acting General Manager monthly.
• Ensure compliance with Oman Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Water Resources (MAFWR) and relevant municipal health authority requirements.
• Support new product development (NPD) initiatives from a quality and food safety perspective.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance within a food or dairy manufacturing environment.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, or equivalent GFSI-recognized scheme.
• Formal HACCP training and practical implementation experience (mandatory).
• Experience with Omani or GCC food safety regulations is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a technical team.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
