Job summary

Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG in Muscat is seeking a senior site/project professional with a Civil/Mechanical Engineering background and 10–15 years of experience in roads and highways construction. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10–15 years of experience in construction of roads and highways.
• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Ensure copies of the PQP Procedures Work Instructions and QC Plans are available for implementation at pertinent locations at site.
• Ensure strict compliance of PQP.
• Assess manpower, equipment and other resources required to achieve milestone targets and inform the Project Director.
• Coordinate with subordinate staff and execute the work as per planned schedules in conformance with applicable specifications and PQP.
• Ensure fulfilment of project HSE requirements at site on a day-to-day basis.
• Coordinate with procurement for project materials, equipment, and consumables.
• Monitor actual progress against planned programme with Planning Engineer.
• Review deviations or changes to Contract scope with Project Director and reschedule if needed.
• Coordinate with Customer Consultant for approvals of materials, shop drawings, etc.
• Coordinate with QC Inspector to fulfil Quality Management System and inspection/test requirements.
• Ensure timely disposition of CARs/NCRs raised in the project.

• Ensure copies of the PQP Procedures Work Instructions and QC Plans are available for implementation at pertinent locations at site
• Ensure strict compliance of PQP
• Assess manpower equipment and the other resources required to achieve milestone target dates and inform the Project Director
• Coordinate with the subordinate staff and execute the work as per the planned schedules in conformance with the applicable specifications and the PQP
• Ensure fulfilment of the project HSE requirements at site on a day to day basis
• Ensure through the respective functions timely availability if manpower equipment materials and consumables required for execution of the project and coordinate with the Project Director for deployment
• Ensure timely availability of approved drawings schedules technical data for the construction project team and the subcontractors employed
• Coordinate with the procurement team in carrying out procurement activities for the project
• Continuously asses the actual progress of work against planned programme in coordination with the Planning Engineer
• Analyze deviations or change of the Contract scope discuss and review with the Project Director incorporate it and if necessary reschedule to meet target dates in coordination with the Planning Engineer
• Follow-up approval of materials shop drawings and the like with the Customer Consultant
• Coordinate with the QC Inspector for fulfilling the Quality Management System requirements together with the inspection test requirements of the project
• Ensure timely disposition of CARs NCRs raised in the project
