Job summary

SSH is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural design and delivery of building projects in Oman from concept through construction. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with local and international standards, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions aligned with client needs and project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12 to 15 years of experience.
• Design background and awareness for RC buildings, foundations, PT, and steel design.
• Design consultancy background.
• Oman Municipality approval.
• Professional accreditation preferred (CEng, MIStructE, PE, MICE, or equivalent).
• Omani nationality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project delivery, resource planning, and technical problem-solving.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project phases.
• Support construction activities through design reviews and site-related technical assistance.
