Job summary

Anotech Energy seeks an Instrumentation and Telecom Specialist to lead commissioning oversight for Instrumentation and Telecom systems in an oil and gas project in Oman. You will ensure readiness and operational startup performance as part of the commissioning team.

The role requires 15+ years in the oil & gas industry, with at least 10 years as a specialist, and strong knowledge of onshore plants and LNG projects. You will mentor technicians and contribute to LEAN, safety-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation and/or Telecom).
• 15+ years in the Oil & Gas industry.
• 10+ years specifically as an Instrumentation/Telecom Specialist.
• Experience with onshore plants and LNG projects.
• Expert-level knowledge of Telecom activities, Instrumentation, and related regulations/certifications.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning Oversight: Witness and monitor activities by contractors, including Tank Gauging and Berthing-aid systems.
• Technical Validation: Review and approve Black Start procedures and monitor SAT for Instrumentation and Telecom.
• Safety & Control: Act as inhibition/isolation reviewer for safety devices and ensure emergency telecom means are operational 24/7.
• Documentation & Handover: Validate punch lists, approve commissioning dossiers, and transfer master files to Operations.
• Mentoring: Support development of technicians through on-the-job training and knowledge sharing.
• Organization: LEAN environment with multi-competency personnel and collaboration.

Are you an expert in Instrumentation and Telecommunications looking to play a critical role in the energy transition?

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Telecom Specialist.

Reporting to the Commissioning & Start-up Site Lead, you will ensure the completeness and operational readiness of all Instrumentation (including Analyzers and Metering) and Telecom systems for plant start-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commissioning Oversight : Witness and monitor activities performed by contractors, including Tank Gauging and Berthing-aid systems.
• Technical Validation : Review and approve Black Start procedures and monitor Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for Instrumentation and Telecom.
• Safety & Control : Act as the inhibition/isolation reviewer for safety devices and ensure emergency telecommunication means are operational 24/7.
• Documentation & Handover : Validate punch lists, approve commissioning dossiers, and ensure a smooth transfer of "As Commissioned" master files to the Operations team.
• Mentoring : Support the development of technicians through on-the-job training and knowledge sharing.
• Organization : A LEAN environment requiring multi-competency personnel and a collaborative mindset.

Profile Required

• Education : Master’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation and/or Telecom).
• Experience:
• 15+ years in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience with onshore plants and LNG projects.
• At least 10+ years specifically as an Instrumentation/Telecom Specialist.
• Technical Mastery : Expert-level knowledge of Telecom activities, Instrumentation, and relevant regulations/certifications.
• Languages : Excellent command of written and spoken English
