Job summary

BaseDynamics in Oman is seeking an Instrument Technician in Nizwa to join our field service team. You will install, calibrate, maintain and repair electrical instruments and control systems, ensuring safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial experience, can read schematics, understands PLCs, DCS or SCADA, and communicates clearly in English. Diploma or certification in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation
• Proficient at reading electrical schematics/blueprints
• Knowledge of transmitters, controllers, sensors and related electrical instruments
• Familiarity with PLCs, DCS and SCADA systems
• Excellent communication in English
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical instruments and control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs
• Calibrate instruments and replace faulty components
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed
• Create maintenance and repair reports
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to solve complex issues
