Job summary

BaseDynamics in Oman is seeking an Instrument Technician in Nizwa to join our field service team. You will install, calibrate, maintain and repair electrical instruments and control systems, ensuring safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial experience, can read schematics, understands PLCs, DCS or SCADA, and communicates clearly in English. Diploma or certification in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation
• Proficient at reading electrical schematics/blueprints
• Knowledge of transmitters, controllers, sensors and related electrical instruments
• Familiarity with PLCs, DCS and SCADA systems
• Excellent communication in English
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Position Summary

We are currently hiring an Instrument Technician for our client based in Nizwa Oman The ideal candidate must have experience in the field of electrical instrumentation and control systems with a strong understanding of industrial safety standards This is a full-time position with a salary of $1700 per month inclusive of free visa and ticket

Key Responsibilities

• Install maintain and repair various types of electrical instruments and control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as calibrating instruments and replacing faulty components
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times
• Create reports on equipment maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify solutions for complex issues

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as an instrument technician in an industrial setting
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and blueprints
• Knowledge of various types of electrical instruments such as transmitters controllers sensors etc
• Familiarity with control systems such as PLCs DCS SCADA
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
• Experience working with high-voltage electrical equipment is a plus
