SmartConnect Qatar in Khasab, Oman, is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to install, maintain and repair instruments and control systems at our facility. The role involves collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and ensure instruments operate safely and reliably.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of instrumentation experience, reads schematics, and is detail‑oriented.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent in instrumentation or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Instrument Technician.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate and maintain various types of instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair any problems with instruments or control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop maintenance plans for all instruments.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities.
• Stay current on new technologies and advancements in instrument technology.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

We are currently hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Khasab Oman. As an Instrument Technician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various types of instruments and control systems in our facility. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that all instruments are functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrument maintenance and a good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Salary

1300$ per month
