Job summary

Acwa Operations is looking for an I&C Technician in Oman, Dschanub al-Batina, to perform maintenance and installation tasks on plant instrumentation and control systems. The role requires a technical certificate in Instrument Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, focusing on mechanical equipment in a plant setting. Successful candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant standards and strong troubleshooting skills. This position is critical to ensuring the reliability and functionality of operational systems at our facilities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in instrument and control as a technician in installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine preventative instrumentation and control maintenance.
• Monitor systems and equipment and report non-conformances.
• Respond to instrumentation and control failures and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot equipment using necessary tools and spare parts.
• Read and understand technical manuals and carry out maintenance tasks.
• Align, adjust and calibrate systems according to specifications.

Skills

Practical Knowledge of relevant plant equipment

Maintenance principles

Knowledge of HSE & quality standards

Education
