Job summary

OHI Electronics seeks a motivated Junior HSE Officer in Muscat to support a safe and compliant workplace. The role welcomes fresh graduates and candidates with basic field exposure, safety internship experience, or up to two years in HSE, focusing on hazard control and safety culture.

You will assist with inspections, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and maintaining HSE records while coordinating with site teams and management to uphold Omanisation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Fresh graduate or up to two years of HSE experience.
• Internships or safety watcher experience accepted.
• Basic knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and teamwork mindset.
• Valid Oman driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections and identify hazards.
• Lead toolbox talks and support internal safety audits, verify PPE use.
• Assist in investigating minor incidents and near-misses, prepare initial reports.
• Act as communication link between site personnel, contractors and management to promote HSE policies.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

OHI Electronics is seeking an enthusiastic and safety-conscious Omani graduate to join our team as a Junior HSE Officer.

This opportunity is suitable for fresh graduates and candidates with basic field exposure, HSE internship experience, completed training programmes, safety watcher experience, or up to two years of HSE experience.

The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment across the company’s operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct routine site inspections and identify hazards.


• Lead daily toolbox talks and support internal safety audits, verify the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a high level of safety awareness among workers on-site.


• Assist in investigating minor incidents and near-misses, prepare accurate initial reports, and track corrective actions.


• Serve as a communication link between site personnel, contractors, and management to communicate HSE policies and encourage a safe working culture.


• Assist in maintaining safety registers, emergency response plans, training logs, and HSE records.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• This vacancy is being recruited in accordance with applicable Omanisation requirements.


• Bachelor’s degree.


• Fresh graduate or up to two years of HSE experience.


• Internships, graduate training programmes, and safety watcher experience are accepted.


• Basic knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment.


• Fluent in written & spoken Arabic and English.


• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented mindset.


• Valid Oman driving licence preferred.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:

NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or OSHA 30-Hour certification is preferred. Candidates willing to complete a relevant certification during the probation period may also apply.
