Job summary

Ahli Bank in Oman seeks Head of Trade Finance Operations to lead day-to-day activities, ensure compliant delivery of LC, LG, collections, and discounting services, and drive service improvements aligned with corporate strategy.

You will establish performance metrics, manage teams, liaise with relationship managers and branches, and ensure tight risk controls, timely settlements, and accurate reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Omani Nationals only.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• CITF / CDCS / CIDG certification.
• Minimum 15 years of banking experience.
• Minimum 10 Years of Trade Finance Managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day processing of Import and Export LCs, Collections, LTRs, Bill Discounting, and LGs.
• Ensure timely processing and adherence to TAT and SLAs with zero breaches.
• Supervise processors handling transaction inputs, approvals and recordings.
• Distribute work based on volume and complexity to the best-fit team.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance screening of all trade transactions before approvals.
• Monitor and authorize trade finance transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial, technical, and regulatory aspects.
• Ensure L/C documents are checked and discrepancies communicated promptly.
• Oversee SWIFT processing for inward/outward payments and timely settlements.
• Regularly review SOPs and drive continuous improvement of trade finance operations.
