Job summary

AMAN is seeking a Head of Software Engineering to lead our Software Factory, shape engineering direction, and expand our capabilities as we tackle large and complex technology programmes across the region.

You will oversee the full software delivery lifecycle—from solution architecture and estimation to engineering, deployment, and production—while setting engineering standards and developing talent for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering leadership and delivering complex production systems.
• Strong depth in enterprise software architecture, backend, APIs and integrations.
• Experience with databases, DevOps, cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Proven ability to own delivery across estimation, architecture, engineering execution, production and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical and delivery performance of the Software Factory, with accountability for quality, timelines, scope, and outcomes.
• Lead solution architecture and decision-making for complex enterprise systems, integrations, cloud/on‑premise deployments, and AI-enabled apps.
• Improve estimation, resource planning, engineering standards, risk management, and issue escalation.
• Develop and lead a high-performing engineering team through hiring, coaching, and growth paths.
• Establish consistent engineering practices across code quality, reviews, testing, CI/CD, DevOps, security, documentation, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Support pre-sales and tender processes by shaping technical solutions and estimating effort.
