Job summary

Gender seeks an experienced Maintenance & Operations Manager to lead the upkeep of water transmission and distribution assets. You will supervise mechanical, civil, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems, ensuring continuous water supply and KPI attainment.

Lead engineers and supervisors, coordinate with the client, and manage budgeting, resources, and schedules to meet contract requirements with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology/Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in maintenance and operations leadership in water/wastewater assets.
• Proven track record in budgeting, scheduling and KPI delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance across mechanical, civil, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems for water transmission and distribution assets.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety procedures and uninterrupted water supply to customers.
• Lead client relations and manage project budget and business plan.

Job Description

He is required to have excellent knowledge in management of all maintenance activities at site which includes mechanical, civil, plumbing, Fire Protection, electrical systems related to water transmission and distribution systems, wells, reservoirs, pumping stations,tanker filling station and other available PAW assets. He should ensure strict adherence to company quality and safety procedures and ensure uninterrupted water supply to Customers and achieve the KPI consistently. Head of all works for the discipline. Responsible for all management contact with Client. Custodian of Project Budget & Business plan. Ensure uninterrupted water supply to the customers. Organize and manage all resources and field activities to achieve KPI consistently. Progress review with respective team members and implementing necessary measures. Should have experience & thorough knowledge of maintenance activities in the field of O&M of RO Plant, STP & Water network. Should be able to accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirement, preparing annual budget scheduling expenditures analysing variances initiating corrective actions. Should be able to lead employees to meet Client & customer expectation. Should have knowledge of installation and commissioning of all pipes and fittings for transmission & distribution network. Manage all shutdowns and breakdowns at site and take necessary corrective and preventive measures .

Strategic

• Should have experience & thorough knowledge of Maintenance activities in the field of STP/ ROP plants/water transmission & distribution networks etc
• Should be able to handle a team of Engineers, Supervisors and ensure that all site discipline co-ordination are carried as per Contract.
• Review the project Budget & Business plan for a group of projects.
• Should have key involvement in Resources deployment, Budget/MIS monitoring.
• Review monthly projections & cost to complete report to check & review project progress & cost with respect to approved budget.
• Review the project cash flow.

Operational

• Knowledge of Operation & Maintenance of water distribution & transmission networks.
• Manage the area Managers to ensure KPI achievement.
• Manage Client at various locations to ensure smooth functioning & KPI.

People Management

• Organize and manage all resources and field activities to achieve an efficient and effective completion of the contract, within the budget
• Assign responsibilities to the reporting staff (Managers/Engineers) & frequently monitor the same.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal Skills.
• Maintain a good relationship with client for smooth functioning.
• Possess Strong Communication Skills.
• Possess proactive problem solving and leadership skills.
